Replace Batteries

- If smoke detector wired into home electrical, turn off the associated breaker power before starting any electrical work.
- Remove the cover to expose the battery compartment.
- Remove the old battery.
- Install the new battery, making sure that it is properly aligned with the positive and negative terminals.
- Replace the cover, ensure that it is securely fastened.
- Test the smoke detector by holding down the test button and ensure it chirps.
