Sewer Odors
-
- Built up grease, hair, and debris in pipes – Use a drain snake/auger to manually remove clogs and pour hot water or baking soda mixtures down the drain to help break up debris.
- Cracked or damaged drain pipes – Identify locations of leaks/cracks and seal up with epoxy or call a plumber for repair.
- Dry or empty P-traps – Fill P-traps with water to create a barrier against sewer gas entering the home.
- Main sewer line clog – Have a professional hydrojet or power rod the main line to remove stubborn blockages.
- Sewer vent pipe issues – Inspect vent pipes on the roof for blockages or breaks. Repair/unclog vent pipes to allow proper air flow.
